You can find more DJ Chongita rants elsewere WordPress does not seem user friendly. I maxed out my photo allowance and then tried to delete some with no success. I am so out of here. Day 3 of Spontaneous Date
Spontaneity does not come naturally to me. I have to really work at it so when Wednesday nights dinner and a movie happened it was new and delicious as we knew not what movie was even playing and because we had to wait for it to start, sushi seemed the logical answer.Thursday was drinking and debauchery yet by the seat of out pants we flew saving friends from DUI’s and the like. Friday (even “god” took a rest)Today: Clothing swap, walks in the forest, big dinner and Xena on the TV. Life is good folks! This domestic thing has some good times.

Slacker want a Cracker?
Alice gets a Shrine in Central Park
Being that I have been back for 4 days now, I can proudly wear the title of SLACKER for not getting the photos of my last daze in NYC up in a timely manner. Not like anyone ever reads this blog as my comments are a grand total of 2 from bloody October, however, I feel that since this is really for me anyway, I wanted to get my fave photos up.
No time for tea with Yoko.
I just liked this one.
New Years Day was a solo adventure through Central park to Harlem and back. I loved Harlem. People were super friendly, it was quiet, kids played on their stoops. I found myself annoyed by all the people who acted surprised that I walked there and lived to tell. Whathefuckever! I finally decided that without the vicious rumors about the ‘hood, no one would watch TV crime shows or movies anymore. Its marketing just like Disneyland proclaims to be the happiest place on earth (lies), Harlem is sooooooooo scary. I am sure there are bad parts but If I wore the V for victim on my forehead like most Americans then I guess it would be a horror of horrors. I feel safe in my world. The hood is from whence I came. I guess that is the difference. I know too many sheltered people who belive what they see on TV.
Designer Drawers make me Giggle.
Broken Fast
On my last night, we went out for fancy dinner and drink. Boy, I have never spent $65 on a meal before. It was tasty, it was fun but nothing that I could not make at home. I enjoyed it immensely as it was a very spontaneous and frivolous thing to do. We danced to 80′s music at Brass Monkey and met some beautiful people there. I cant wait to go back when I do not have to work. Someday…..

No Sleep ’till Brooklyn or Sweet, Sweet Soho.

( A Cheerful Attitude, Brooklyn)
Taking the Red-Eye to NYC was by far thew most ridiculous idea ever! No sleeping will be made when you are in the middle seat between drunken strangers. Might have been fun if I were drunk too but it is not in the stars for me to come off my illustrious wagon just now. I did manage to take a nap for about 2 hours in the afternoon. With everyone else all bright eyed and bushy tailed, I was just along for the ride. There was promise of chicken and waffles served with Korean Porn at Monkey Town. It sounds like an interesting combo but we were late and missed it. We did however make a secret back room showing of some visual arts not offered in my present residence that is Po-Dunk, USA.
I crave the City life more and more as Hip Hop DJ were mid-spin in a club called Galapagos in Brooklyn, I remember the reasons why. Where else will one see FABULOUS men dirty dancing amongst spiked punks and homies and yuppie suits? One big happy family! I loved it all even in my sleepless stupor. I wish I could pull off moving here. I must make more effort to come often.
Put-zing around Manhattan is like being home in SF. All the movies I have ever seen depict NYC as some horrific place rife with gangs and serious attitude. I have found nothing resembling any of this pretentious drivel. It has improved I am told however nothing so bad changes over night. People are super friendly and so my suspicion is that media powers that be inject us with our daily dose of fear to keep is in our homes, ever consuming. I feel like I just cracked a thunder egg full of secrets! I just dine at local restaurants and meet interesting people and keep the vibe going fearing someday I may run away to New York and stay forever! Alas, I am rather aged and the night life would get the best of me and I could not afford it anyway! A job trade however??? Now that’s an idea?/? Just a short time might be the fix I need. It is all piroshki in the sky anyway.
